tThanks to everyone who ran and helped out at the John Carson July 4th Road Race in Chelmsford this year. We had a great turnout despite a bit of rain before the race started. The conditions for the race itself were perfect but no new course records were set. We really hope you all had fun running and finishing. The parade was really fun to watch and hopefully the fire trucks will be back next year in full force.

We had a very large turnout this year with over 1900 registrants. If you got to registration late we did run out of computer timing chips so hopefully you looked at the clock at the finish line. I am sure the race and parade will be on the cable TV show a number of times as well. Please remember to preregister next year and avoid the possibility of not getting a chip.

Age division prizes will be mailed out in the next 10-14 days. Pictures and results will be at Sullivanfarmsicecream.com as they become available. The Massachusetts daily lottery number drawn on the 4th was 0023… if your BIB Number was 23, you won a trip for 4 to Florida. If your name was spelled wrong or you were listed as an unknown runner, let us know and we will do our best to correct it.

Once again, thank you to all the people who worked so hard to make the race as fun as it was this year and to our very generous sponsors who donated products and money for the race. Start training, you only have 364 days until the 2009 race.
